The article reports on the combining of two images by the researchers in the University of Washington, Seattle, who have succeeded in controlling the movement of a humanoid robot with signals from a human brain. One of the images belong to a classic science fiction scene that shows a person wearing a metal skullcap with electrodes sticking out to detect the person's thought, while, in the other image it depicts robots doing humans' bidding. The research has shown so much light that according to Rajesh Rao, associate professor of computer science and engineering at the University of Washington, it can be possible that one day man can use semi-autonomous robots for jobs related to helping disabled people or performing routine tasks in a person's home.
