ABSTRACT
The article reports on the claim of Audio Engineering Society in Great Britain that it is possible to make a compact disc with a length of eight to ten hours. The methods include optimal coding, predicting algorithms and Fast Fourier Transformation Analysis. These methods are combined to cut down a 16 bit data stream to 2 bits per scanned sample with highest reproduction quality and eight to ten hours on a compact disc.
