Automated Control Units for Advertising on Cable

The article features the Advertisement Display Control Unit (ADCU) from Logica Inc. The unit handles problems in cable television network advertisement editing. It has automatic selection where advertisements can be seen in each country, adjusting to local regulation. It could automatically switch off the video and audio signals if needed and substitute the commercial with teletext page. It also supplies the control signal generator units to code the advertisement.
