Completion of CD-I System Development

The article reports on the completion of the development work for full functional specification of the compact disc interactive system (CD-I) by N.V. Phillips and Sony Corp. in Great Britain. The new CD-I will feature text, motion video, still image, graphics, animation and computer programming. CD-I creates the opportunity for the establishment of a wide spectrum of software for information, education and entertainment. It is also based in an international standards for full compatibility.
