ABSTRACT

The article reports that Bishop Denis J. Madden of Baltimore, Maryland has personally declared at a committee hearing in Annapolis on February 21 about replacing death penalty with life sentences. The hearing was reportedly attended by members of the Senate Judicial Proceedings and House Judiciary committee. Also mentioned is that Bishop Madden looked often at Republican Senator Alex Mooney while testifying, as it is Mooney who is authorized to pass the legislation.
