ABSTRACT
The article reports the decline in the sales of Haverty Furniture and hence a fall in the earnings by 53.1% during the fourth quarter in the year 2006. The year ended with figures showing an upward trend in the form of sales and earnings as compared with last year's performance. Clarence Smith, president and CEO said that the company's inventories are up from the 2005 level and has improved its supply chain techniques.
