ABSTRACT
The article reports on the growth of the semiconductor lithography market in the U.S. in 2006 according to the Information Network. A report by the firm revealed that the market reached $6.7 billion, surpassing the $6 billion mark in 2000. Robert N. Castellano, the firm's president, attributed the growth to the increases in the average selling prices of lithography equipment. ASML increased its market share lead with a 60.8% share while Nikon held a 24.5% share.
