Gujarat gets oxo plant

The article reports on the plan of Eastman Chemical and India's Essar Chemicals to build an oxo aldehyde and derivatives plant at Essar's Vadinar site in Gujarat, India. According to Anshuman Ruia, director of Essar Chemicals' parent company, Essar Group, they look forward to the establishment of a world-scale oxo chemicals plant at Essar's refinery site in Vadinar. Robert Preston of Eastman's Asia-Pacific region, said the project would enable the U.S. group to expand its presence in India.
