Bayer ups Shanghai TDI capacity

The article reports that Bayer MaterialScience has increased that capacity of its planned toluene diisocyanate (TDI) plant in Shanghai, China following the development of its TDI technology. Bayer MaterialScience expects its TDI technology to cut investment costs by 20 percent, compared with conventional processes. Bayer MaterialScience said the enlarged TDI plant will help to meet rising global demand.
