ABSTRACT
The article reports that Syngenta is looking for operational efficiencies to give savings by 2011. Domenico Scala, chief financial officer of the Swiss crop protection and seeds company, said that savings of $89m are targeted in 2007, the first year of the program. He confirmed that Syngenta will resume its share buy-back program in 2007, and expects to return $800m to shareholders in 2007.
