ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of the London Metal Exchange (LME) to introduce three regional contracts for polypropylene and linear low density polyethylene and additional prompt dates to its plastics exchange to boost interest in the futures contracts. According to Neff Banks, director of exchange development at LME, the changes will revitalize the contracts significantly, improving liquidity and will allow the contracts wider use within the plastics industry.
