ABSTRACT
The article presents information on significant events in hospital management in 1939. In the summer of 1939, the American Hospital Association's (AHA) board of directors have elected not to renew membership in the International Hospital Association. The International Hospital Congress, which has been planned for many years and scheduled to convene in Toronto, Ontario was cancelled because of the conflict in Europe and Asia.
