ABSTRACT
The article offers a guide for the successful implementation by manufacturing and service businesses of the Six Sigma improvement program. Select the right initial projects which have a high probability of being quickly and effectively addressed with a minimum of complex analysis. Simplify and shorten the training cycle to get people proficient in tools and techniques essential to completing the projects. It is important to get decision makers directly involved with the project team to enable the business to implement improvements in an accelerated way.
