The article reports on developments related to the use of electronic mails in the banking industry in the U.S. KeyBank has about one million on-line customers. The firm has good penetration in terms of delivering on-line-only bank statements and account alerts, and is preparing the ability to deliver text and other alerts to mobile phones and devices. The email certification and authentication market includes Goodmail, Habeas, Return Path, and Microsoft.
