ABSTRACT
The article discusses the concept of real-time enterprises. Authors Peter Fingar and Joseph Bellini used the concept in their book titled "Time is the critical variable in squeezing out costs; for squeezing out time can reduce costs such as inventory, overproduction and transaction handling cost." The concept has been hyped and predicted for years, and seen as guideline for business intelligence and decision support in business. It has been supported by several studies concerning time management.
