ABSTRACT
This article reports on the appointment of George Vernadakis as executive editor at Advertising Age. He will have responsibility for the day-to-day editorial operations of Advertising Age magazine, and will report to editor Scott Donaton. Vernadakis was most recently, as of October 1999, editor in chief of Interactive Week magazine from Ziff-Davis, which he joined at its launch in 1994 as managing editor. Prior to that, he served as managing editor of Spy, and before that he spent three years as assistant managing editor of Variety. Donaton said Vernadakis has a decade of experience managing the editorial operations of news-driven business publications similar to the magazine.
