ABSTRACT
The article evaluates the war in Afghanistan in 2007. While the author does not foresee defeat for the 35,000 troops from Great Britain, the United States and other NATO countries, he does state that military progress in the country will be slow and impermanent. Strategies for achieving victory over the Taliban are discussed.
