ABSTRACT
The article reports on the controversies concerning state climatologists George Taylor and Patrick Michaels in the U.S. Their role was scrutinized by governors Ted Kulongoski and Timothy Kaine for not agreeing that global warming is influenced by humans. On the otherhand, the American Association of State Climatologists (AASC) is preparing a statement in response to the controversy that advised state governors to consider factors for a successful state climate office.
