ABSTRACT
The author relates his experiences as a medical expert in a product liability lawsuit filed by the family of Reynaldo Lacuzong, a machine operator who developed akathisia, against Glaxo SmithKline (GSK) in California. Akathisia is an inner agitation with compulsive hyperactivity that Lacuzong suffers after taking the antidepressant Paxil. His report in the Lacuzong case was included in a motion filed in another Paxil case on June 23, 2005. Excerpts from the report and affidavit of a physician in the case are presented.
