ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's point of view on the use of biofuels as part of an integrated approach to reducing carbon dioxide emissions in Great Britain. He emphasizes that biofuels offer the potential to reduce the emissions of an automobile by up to 80 percent depending on feedstock, conversion process, and use efficiency. The government also proposes to introduce incentives for the use of sustainable biofuels as part of its Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation.
