ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the increase in the demand for freight services in Great Britain in the second half of 2006, according to a quarterly transport activity survey conducted by the Freight Transport Association (FTA). More operators are planning to expand their fleets as a result of increasing market optimism. Operators continue to report decreasing journey times. Fifty-eight percent of respondents say road network reliability is worse than it was in 2005.
