ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Petland Inc. superstores and the security system that it has installed in its stores in Canada. The company sells live animals and thus needed to install a security system that ensures the well being of the animals. Trevor Brown, company's director of information technology, installed a web-based security video technology that was not Windows based consisting of a dedicated Micro server for enterprise system and several color cameras from Bosch, Sanyo, and Panasonic.
