ABSTRACT
The article focuses on complexities of the U.S.-India Nuclear Agreement signed by President George W. Bush on December 18, 2006. The legislation will allow India to receive nuclear technology and assistance to increase its civilian nuclear program. According to critics, India's military program will be free to continue developing with no restraint once the assistance is received. India's nonparticipation in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty may prompt other countries to increase their nuclear weapons programs.
