The article discusses several aspects of sureties with respect to the financial recovery of the surety bond industry in the U.S. Sureties needed more conservative underwriting in order to recover and survive. Sureties now are even more involved in their clients' business. It cited the case of the venerable George B. H. Macomber Co.
