Albemarle boosts earnings growth

This article reports on the earnings growth of specialty chemical firm Albermarle. Shares of Albemarle increased by $4.77, or 6.6 percent, to $77.01. Underlying profits soared by 69 percent to $57.6 million on sales flat at $585 million. Fine chemicals profits more than doubled to $22.5 million as sales rose by 13 percent to $163 million.
