The article reports on the agreed prices for European purified terephthalic acid (PTA) contracts After protracted talks, buyers and sellers agreed a paraxylene (PX) pass-through of minus € 127/tonne to € 778-816/tonne for November 2007, according to ICIS pricing. The PTA contract discussions are also now being concluded down € 10-13/tonne, echoing December's € 20/tonne PX decline at € E810/tonne.
