The article presents the results of a report titled "Worldwide Mobile Enterprise Applications 2006-2010 Forecast and Analysis" from the International Data Corp. (IDC). They predict that at least through 2010, the mobile enterprise applications (MEA) market will expand to three times the size it was in 2006. IDC program director Stephen Drake feels that MEA vendors and suppliers need to work closely together to continue to better the working platform. He encourages application vendors to prepare their products for MEA capabilities, as this will be a necessity for all business processes soon.
