ABSTRACT
This article the successful publishing career of Robert B. Strassler who calls himself as a scholar without credentials. Yet this amateur scholar may turn out to be one of the best-selling classicists of all time. Ten years ago Strassler, 69, published "The Landmark Thucydides," a 713-page edition of the Greek historian's account of the Peloponnesian War. The book was a success and he followed this success with several books on the classics.
