The president of the Nashua, New Hampshire based Furniture World, Mark Bedrick states that running brick and mortar furniture stores was becoming too expensive. Mattress Discounters of Upper Marlboro, Maryland will acquire five Mattress World stores in New Hampshire. Bedrick opined that the growth in online sales and emphasis on high volumes at low margins is the current trend.
