This article presents the steps for women for negotiating a salary increase. When done correctly, negotiating a raise can be both diplomatic and empowering. First, the employee must find out the appropriate market rate. Second, she must prove that she is worthy of a pay increase. Then, the employee must consider the timing for asking for a pay increase.
