The article examines home furnishings shopping and purchasing patterns in 2006 and buying plans for 2007 through an online survey conducted to U.S. households. The survey explored where consumers bought each product in 2006, how much they spent in 2006 and the maximum amount they plan to spend for each product category in 2007. The research was analyzed by Dana French and Kay Anderson of "Furniture/Today."
