ABSTRACT
The article reports on the intention of fabric supplier Valdese Weavers to save many gallons of gasoline for environmental sustainability in Greenboro, North Carolina. Valdese is adopting a requirement of at least 45 percent recycled content for its contract fabric line using Repreve yarns from Unifi. According to Valdese, each linear yard of fabric produced will conserve the equivalent of a quart of gasoline.
