The article reports that the Peoples Education in Brook, New Jersey has reduced its guidance for fiscal 2007. This move results from a decline in revenue and a net loss. Executives of the company attributed the decline to a soft market for supplemental materials. CEO Brian Beckwith stresses that flat federal funding and increasing local costs for items like teacher salaries have put pressure on spending for instructional materials.
