ABSTRACT
The article reports on the performance of the pharmaceutical and chemical industries of Israel. The year 2006 was the best year for both industries in more than a decade. Sales were up by almost eleven percent while exports increased by sixteen percent. The Manufacturers Association of Israel--Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Environmental Society, predicted that chemical and pharmaceutical exports will grow to $10 billion in 2007.
