ABSTRACT
The article reports on the imported net tons of steel which set new records in the U.S. The American Iron and Steel Institute claim that the imports remained well ahead compared in the previous pace. The record was base on 2006 imports through November, which total and finished imports at 46.0 and 35.5 million net tons. While the previous record only had 41.5 and 34.7 million net tons set in 1998.
