The article focuses on the plan to improve the coil-coating capacity in 2008 by Steel Dynamics Inc., the only mill that produces and paints steel coils in the U.S. According to the experts, this plan is due to the decreased on demand for prepainted steel and aluminum coils with residential construction in 2007. John Mitchell, president of Nichols Aluminum, Lincolnshire, Illinois said that despite the decline in residential construction the overall market reveals significant progress.
