ABSTRACT
In this article, the author explains the components of inspirational leadership. The author believes that it may be easier, quicker and more effective for managers to stop doing the things that demotivate people than it is for them to bolt on radically new techniques from acknowledged inspirational leaders. There are three areas where companies should devote most of their attention: informal one-to-one attention in leadership development; experiential forms of executive education; and coaching and mentoring.
