ABSTRACT
The author comments on the poor popularity ratings of former U.S. President Harry Truman and current U.S. President George W. Bush. He notes that Truman became unpopular due to the large casualties brought by the Korean War and the victory of Chinese communists during the 1949 Chinese civil war. The author comments that the criticisms thrown against Bush are similar to those confronted by Truman.
