ABSTRACT
The article features professor Volodymyr Leonidovych Makarov, a mathematician and numerical analyst. From 1963 to 1974, he focused his research on the theory of the difference schemes. He introduced a number of theoretical studies on computer-aided design of complex radio-engineering systems. He received several medals and distinctions for his scientific achievements and was chosen as a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) in 2000.
