ABSTRACT
The article reports that the NYSE Group Inc., operator of the New York Stock Exchange led a group of investors purchasing a 5% minority stake in the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. to gain access to Asia's fifth-largest market. The three other investors including Goldman Sachs Group Inc, General Atlantic Corp. and SoftBank Asian Infrastructure Fund also took part with NYSE Group Inc. in the purchase. A payment of $115 million for its shares by the NYSE Group Inc. is presented.
