The article discusses the mixed views on the outlook for the acrylonitrile market in Asia for the first quarter of 2007, with producers expecting stable-to-firm prices while buyers say that values should trend down further. Offers remain firm at $1,580/ tonne cost and freight Asia against buying indications at $1,500/tonne for January shipments, down $40-80/ tonne from December prices.
