ABSTRACT
The article discusses an outlook for the petrochemical and chemical industries for 2007. Most financial and business analysts do not believe that 2007 will not match the economic performance of the two industries in 2006. Global economic growth will be moderate, largely as a result of a contraction of the rate of expansion in the U.S. The strong financial performances enjoyed by chemical players, however, would continue until 2008.
