ABSTRACT
The article highlights the need to replace the aging laborers in the petrochemical and chemical industry worldwide, which was addressed at the December 2006 Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association meeting. The speakers warned that engineering and general labour requirements were not being met. Executives from Dubai, United Arab Emirates concentrated discussions on what types of skilled and manual labour would be needed to replace their aging manpower.
