EC gives Basell the OK to buy

This article states that the European Commission has approved the acquisition of Ruhr Oel GmbH's Munchsmunster cracker by German polyolefin producer Basell. The deal includes sales agreements and assets associated with the Bavarian cracker, which produces 300,000 tonnes/year of ethylene and 205,000 tonnes/ year of propylene. ROG is a joint venture between Deutsche BP and PdVSA, the Venezuelan state-owned oil company.
