ABSTRACT
This article reveals that central Europe's petrochemicals industry has a bright outlook for 2007. The new year will see marked progress and consolidation in the business, in addition to a five-year growth in the demand for polyolefins. Analysts and researchers are also talking about expansion and acquisition among the larger players in the region. This view was shared by equities house Wood & Co, which is backing Czech group Unipetrol to capitalise on the polyolefins potential.
