ABSTRACT
This article states that a chemical leak at BASF's fibres intermediate plant in Teesside, Great Britain injured 37 people. The release of hexamethylene diamine (HMDA) was contained in the plant at Seal Sands Road, Billingham, and presented no risk to the public, said a spokeswoman for Cleveland Fire Brigade. BASF confirmed that there had been an incident at the plant and said in a statement that the cause of the event had not been identified.
