ABSTRACT
This article presents updates related to the chemical industry. Hydro Polymer's phase 2 expansion of its chlorine plant at Rafnes, Norway, is now on stream. Bayer MaterialScience lifted force majeure on toluene di-isocyanate products in North America from 1 January 2007. Shell Chemicals is closing its 70,000 tonnes/year isopropanol plant in Singapore for a two-week routine maintenance turn-around from mid-January.
