ABSTRACT
The article looks at the performance of Chelan, Washington-based apple growing and marketing conglomerate Chelan Fresh in 2006 and its prospects for 2007. Competitors from Chile and New Zealand started exporting to markets previously supplied by Washington apple producers. Washington producers have entered the Chinese, Russian and Japanese markets and also the Central American Free-Trade Agreement markets.
