ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the general clinical management of adults referred to hospital. The application of the CURB-65 severity assessment tool for the organization of the patients with influenza-related pneumonia into disease severity groups is recommended. General and microbiological investigations for hospitalized adults, general management of adults admitted to hospital, and the use of antivirals and antibiotics in hospitalized adults are also discussed.
