ABSTRACT
The article looks at trends in the athletic footwear industry. According to the article, while lifestyle fashion athletic and skate footwear have been very strong, the trend may be more reflective of the move to easy-wearing footwear than the consumer's conscious decision to buy "low profile" or "skate" sneakers. Comments from Alan Cohen, chairman and CEO of The Finish Line, are presented.
